AURIS INCOGNITA
A sound and documentary experience on the inner ear and the misteries around its double functionality : hearing and balance.
In this immersiv form mixing documentary testimonies with sound and tactiles experiences, ‘Auris Incognita’ tackles the ways we hear and we move, as individuals and as groups,
Over a series of ‘anatomic confidences’, participants get in touch with intimate testimonies of various personas. Raising notions such as cochlear implant, neuroscientifi research, acrobatic arts, singing, hyperacousy and vertigos... Speeches vary from explanations to sensations, tackling anatomical knowledge as well as the invisibility of specific handicap situations.
The public experience is conditionned by unsteady sits and a double sound diffusion which creates for each one various surprises and sensorial illusions.
